After receiving my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colorado State University, I was following a path to enter academia, become a psychology researcher, and teach.
However, by chance, I learned about a field called Games User Research from a podcast. At the time, I was questioning if academia was really the right path for me. I loved the idea of a chance to use my psychology background in the video gaming industry.
That’s when I started my journey learning about the field of UX. I took an online certificate program from University of Michigan through Coursera. Then, I joined the DIA Design Guild 1 year apprenticeship program as a UX Research apprentice having access to mentors and volunteer projects.
After the apprenticeship, I’ve done more volunteer work along with contract work, and I continue to do that to the present. I’ve also worked at LearningRx as a cognitive skills trainer as well, helping people achieve their goals and improve their lives.

I am an avid runner. I love racing distances from the one mile up to 10K, and I want to run a marathon one day! 🏃🏻♂️
I also love to read! Mostly sci-fi/fantasy, but I also enjoy some other genres as well. 📖
I play guitar and I want to start learning viola. 🎸
